Crohn's Disease to Remission

Uncategorized Sep 04, 2023

On 9.29.2022, an 18 year old female presented with a diagnosis of Crohn's disease. She reported having regular flares of severe abdominal pain; some which led to hospitalizations for bowel obstruction. This woman did not have any flares while doing my protocol and reached remission before the protocol was complete.

She had been taking Remicaid at one point. She had discontinued the medication after changing her diet before seeing me. She had reached out to me on a referral from a friend who had seen results from my work with her partner.

Initial Daily Symptom Presentation

  • Daily abdominal pain and discomfort - on a self reporting pain scale of 1-10, this woman reported having a daily pain level of 4, while having flares of a 10.
  • Lower right abdominal quadrant burning pain and discomfort. There was a nodule with a width of approximately 2.5 inches that had been present in this area for quite some time. The area of the nodule presents with intermittent spasms.
  • Fatigue - felt drained all the time.
  • Hair loss
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Bloodshot eyes with bulging veins
  • Pain in the ribs
  • Pain in the sternum
  • Nightmares
  • Nightsweats
  • Back of the neck pain
  • Shoulder inflammation and pain
  • Strange sensation of air in the knee
  • Welts up with mosquito bites
  • Anxiety
  • Panic attacks
  • Shortness of breath
  • Tachycardia - intermittent/daily
  • Electrical sharp shooting pain in the back of the head
  • Colonoscopy reported inflammation in the bowel

Clinical Diagnosis - Systemic pathogenic influence causing systemic immune reactions; likely cause the bowel inflammation and Crohn's presentation.

Explanation of symptoms: Pathogenic Presentation - Likely Bartonella/Babesia

  • Inflammation and pain of the shoulders, knee, neck, ribs, sternum, head, brain, bowel - Immune reactions
  • Tachycardia - common symptoms associated with categorized autonomic dysfunction, which is not; instead strong consideration being immune related, especially when presented in this manner.
  • Chronic fatigue - Something drawing on the body (likely infections). Immune related.
  • Hair loss, shortness of breath, tachycardia, fatigue - Immune related. This symptom cluster pointing toward intra-cellular infection. Potential for iron, oxygen, B12, B9 deficiency. We do NOT supplement with iron and B vitamins here due to the type of suspected pathogen feeds off of iron, B12 and B9. Instead we go after the pathogen and allow the red blood cells to naturally be open for more oxygen, B12, B9 and iron assimilation.
  • Potential for babesia and or bartonella pathogen based on clinical presentation - Night sweats, electrical sharp shooting pain, burning pain, bulging vascular presentation, rib pain, sternum pain, anxiety, migraines, back of the neck pain, and symptom cluster from above. Immune related.
  • Welting from mosquito bites - Hyper immune response from excess systemic histamine levels already in the body. Histamine released by the immune system. Immune related.

Treatment Course

  • Dietary modifications - Don't Feed the Bugs Diet!
  • Stress management - Mental, physical, emotional and environmental
  • Herbal formulas - Spiro-clear I, Spiro-Clear II, Intra-Cell I, Intra-Cell II, Protect and ImmuniQi formulas, to be taken at certain times. A bulk herbal formula during the last 25 days to aggressively attack biofilm and cystic formations and reach difficult to reach areas of the body.
  • S-acetyl glutathione - Dosing according to body weight and specific pathogenic influence
  • One other supplements to increase aggressiveness later in the treatment when the body is ready for it.

Length of treatment for someone with Crohn's disease is always considered how one's body does, how long the person has been dealing with pathogenic influence, how large the pathogenic load is, if there is other support needed during treatment and potentially other factors. This individual's Crohn's treatment to address the potential root cause lasted 9 months.

Treatment Progression

This patient never had a Crohn's flare throughout the entire treatment.

After 5 weeks:

  • Abdominal pain decreased from a steady 4/10 with severe flares to a steady 2/10 with no flares. Reduced nodule in the lower right quadrant/still spasms,
  • Improved energy level, but needs to nap in the middle of the day.
  • Hair loss creased
  • 2 headaches over the last month instead of headaches and migraines multiple times per week.
  • Ocular vascular improvement, but ocular burning before bed a few times.
  • Pain in the ribs and sternum decreased 50%
  • Night-sweats decreased 90%
  • Neck pain - 50% improvement
  • Shoulder pain - 50% improvement
  • Anxiety - 90% improvement
  • Panic Attacks - none
  • Shortness of breath - none
  • Tachycardia - 90% improvement

After 15 weeks:

  • Abdominal pain has been gone with rare intermittent episodes of pain for a couple seconds at a time, with no Crohn's flares. The nodule in the lower right quadrant seems to have decreased by 30%. Intermittent slight burning episodes for less than a minute after taking the herbs at times. Likely die-off sensations.
  • Energy level is good with no fatigue
  • Hair loss ceased
  • No headaches or migraines
  • Ocular vascular improvement. No dryness or wateriness, and the veins do not bulge out anymore. Slight burning pain here and there in the eyes. Only a few times over the last 5 weeks and short lived in duration.

  • Night-sweats are gone
  • Neck pain - 70% improvement
  • Shoulder pain - 60% improvement
  • Anxiety - Gone
